StyleBlueprint's FACE of Nashville

Posted by Claire Brandon on

Thank you to Javacia Bowser for your kind words, Leila Grossman for your photos and the entire StyleBlueprint team that put this together.  Growing up, Nashville native Claire Brandon (who now splits her time between Nashville and Clarksdale, MS) spent her summers in the Mississippi Delta, visiting family in Clarksdale and Shelby. After several years in New York City, working for Harper’s Bazaar and big-name brands like Calvin Klein, Under Armour and Tommy Hilfiger, Claire returned to her roots with the launch of Delta Vintage, an online apparel company she built to explore, honor and support the Mississippi Delta. SANDBAR SIPPING CLUB

Posted by Claire Brandon on

Every year when the flood waters go down, a group of hooligans set out on the Mississippi River to see how she's changed. No speaker or cooler left behind, they'll camp under the stars and ignore your phone calls because this is better. Are they partying? Of course. It's been a while and this year was especially hard. Maybe they've found a sandbar big enough to land a plane, which they will do, or maybe it's just room enough for two. There's skinny dipping, eddies, and the kind of fossils the news channels wish they could believe in. But the Mississippi is not to be...
